With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Cortese of Piscataway, New Jersey, born in Somerville, New Jersey, who passed away on February 2, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Motyka and Barbara Motyka; her husband Anthony; her great grandchild Austin; and her siblings, Wesley Motyka (Patricia), Anne Miller (George) and Marion Dura (Paul).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy (Jim Tangen) and John (Kathleen); her grandchildren, John (Sandra), Jeremy (Angela), Jesse (Melissa), Joel, Jillian, Jimmy, Michael (Kelly), Steven (Tiffany) and Kevin (Keely); her great grandchildren, Anthony, Madalyn, Parker, Carter, Tyler, Jake, Luke and Juliet; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Cortese and Mary Cortese. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's name may be made to The American Lung Association or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
