He was predeceased by: his parents, Hermine Hobler (Steiner) and John Hobler; his wife Sarah; and his siblings, Elsie, Edna and George.

He is survived by: his children, Jeanette Glossick (Ted Kanasink) of Hampton and Frank Hobler (Mary Ellen) of Edison; his brother William Hobler (Rosemary) of Clifton; and his granddaughters, Melissa McNally, Sarah Hobler and Megan Hobler.
