He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gilbert and Mildred Gilbert; his daughter Sarah Gilbert of South Plainfield, NJ.; his brother Michael; and his grandson Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Gilbert (Beleno) of Piscataway; his children, Tracey Mellor (Paul) of Easton, PA, Rebecca Culbertson (Daniel) of Bangor, PA and Dennis Gilbert of Piscataway, NJ; his brother Peter (Diane) of Howell, NJ; his close friends, Phil, Bob, David and Jim; and his pets, Dino, Shelby, Elliott James, Garfield Funk and Ollie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
