Ruth Jane Ferry Obituary
Ruth Jane Ferry, 90, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Complete Care of Brakeley Park Center.
Ruth was born in Fairlawn, NJ on March 2, 1933 to the late Julius and Edith Elizabeth Philpot Nauta.
Ruth was a Home Health Aide for many years and was last employed with Patient Care in the Bergen County Area. She enjoyed knitting, having made and donated many lap robes over the years. Ruth was proactive regarding helping those in need. One of her main causes that she took pride in helping was Operation Christmas Child, the Shoebox Outreach of Samaritan's Purse.
Ruth was a very active member of Fellowship Church of Morris Park, Lopatcong Township, NJ and Madison Avenue Baptist Church of Paterson, NJ.
Ruth is survived by Son, Kendrick Ferry; Daughter, Ruth Ellen Brinster; 13 Grandchildren, and 10 Great-grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by her Husband, John E. Ferry, Son, Mark Ferry, Daughter, Debra van Zetta, and Grandson, Joshua Ferry.
A Visitation for the Family and Friends of Ruth will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Pkwy; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A Celebration of Ruth's Life to be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 10am at Fellowship Church; 300 Cromwell Street; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. Interment will be in Valleau Cemetery; Ridgewood, NJ.
