He was predeceased by: his parent Donald Steinmetz; his brother Donald Steinmetz; and his stepfather Peter DeBoer. He is survived by: his parent Mary Gallagher Steinmetz DeBoer; his wife Gwen Wollman Steinmetz; his children, Jason Janis (Beth) and BrandiLee Steinmetz Olesh (Philip); his grandchildren, Hailey, Shea, Zin and Zoey; and his siblings, Charles Steinmetz (Margaret), John Steinmetz (Jack), Diane Mecca, Dawne Raabe (Floyd) and Ellie McKeever. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
