She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick G. Thorp and Kathryn E. Thorp (Reed); her husband Robert D. Nickel; her sister Sharon L. Horton; and her son-in-law Ed Frank.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda L. Nickel (Brad) and Kimberly M. Frank (Troy); her grandsons, Brandon R. Nickel (Allison) and Cameron A. Bacskai; her great grandchild Jacob R. Nickel; her brother Robert W. Thorp (Dena); and her siblings-in-law, Helen Nickel and David Nickel (Jane). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
