He was predeceased by: his siblings, William McCoy Jr. and Beatrice "Bootsie" Carmen. He is survived by: his significant other Thelma L. McCoy (Wilson); his children, Robin McCoy, Darlene McNeil (Ron), Tracey Rucker (Joseph), Vonda Jones, Byron Jones (Valerie) and Sonya Jones; his siblings, Ruby McCoy, Evelyn Wooten, Patsy Bowers, Patrick McCoy and Robert McCoy; and his grandchildren, Howard, Gary, Alex, Shatera, Alia, Joseph Corey, Darius and Shanea. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
