It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine S. Banas of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Julius Banas; her parents, Mary Surma (Urbanik) and Michael Surma; and her brother Michael Surma. She is survived by: her children, David Banas (Sally), Judith Ligato (Joseph) and Michael Banas; her sister Barbara Surma; and her granddaughters, Grace and Julia Banas.
