He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberta Pierson and Thomas Pierson; and his brothers, Lester, Clement and Thomas.

He is survived by: his sisters, Lorraine and Ruth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to a local animal shelter, reflecting his deep love for animals.
