He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Simpkins and Flora Messick Simpkins; and his siblings, James C. Simpkins (Elsinboro), Elial "Sonny" Simpkins (Florida), Lida Whitfield, Bessie Livingston, Billie Holtz and Dorothy Gannon.
He is survived by: his wife Judy (Ritenour); his children, Robert A. Simpkins, Jr. Judith Simpkins (Florida) and Barbara Simpkins Shute; and his close friend Mark Boulden (Daniel Simpkins) of Pennsville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery (719 Salem Woodstown Rd, Mannington Township, NJ 08079).
