He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Wright; and his siblings, Marion Hopkins, Phyllis Edwards, William Wright, Harry Wright and Edward Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Wright Jr. (Sonia) and Angela Cureton (Brian); his grandchildren, Faith Wright-Gilliam and David Daniels; his sisters, Eleanor Wright and Gwendolyn Ridgeway-Morris; his nieces, Antionette Johnson and Tanya Wright; his nephew Jeff Hopkins; his sister-in-law Ivanette Peterson; his goddaughter Georgina Johns; and his friend McGuire. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
