He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafael Melendez and Felicita Melendez. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Melendez; his sons, Pedro Melendez (Marie), Josue Melendez (Adrianna) and Julio Melendez (Denise); his grandchildren, Gabriella Wright (Ryan), Rafael Melendez, Anthony Williams (Alyssa), Alejandro Melendez, Victoria Melendez, Rebekah Melendez, Ashley Penix (Dalton) and Hannah Melendez; his great grandchildren, Diana Wright, Walker Penix, Avelina Williams and Lydia Wright; and his sisters, Edith White and Vilma Rivera. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
