He was predeceased by: his brother Neil Messick. He is survived by: his siblings, Geraldine (Dennis Hess) and Jack (Laura Messick); his stepchildren, Edward (Oahn Le Schwartz), Keith Schwartz, Danielle (Frank Mitchell) and Debra (Herman Winters); his nephew Thomas (Tiffani); his niece Lisa; and his great-nieces, Amalia and Layla. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
