Evangelia Markakis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2021, at the age of 90, Evangelia Markakis of Pennsauken, New Jersey passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evangelia Markakis to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her son Emmanuel Markakis; her siblings, Theodore (Irene) and Ioannis Poulos (Vaso); her parents, Father Demetrios and Anna Poulos; and her husband Nicholas Markakis.
She is survived by: her children, Anna Markakis (Stavros) of Cherry Hill, Katherine Kleftogiannis of Cherry Hill, Demetrios Markakis (Lisa) of Pennsauken and George Markakis (Katerina) of Voorhees; and her brother Elias Poulos (Koula) of Merchantville. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the St Thomas Greek Orthodox Church Building fund.
