He is survived by: his daughters, Bryanna Leigh Johnson and Brandi Alayna Johnson; his siblings, Carl B. Johnson, LeJoyce Johnson, Ervin Johnson and Edna Brown (Nichols); and his brother-in-law Charles Williams, III.

“To the whole Johnson family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Johnson was my favorite coach in high school and the best motivator an athlete could ask for. Mr. Johnson was the kind of person that you hated to disappoint. He was such a good role model and the kind of person that this world could use more of right now. He could make me laugh so hard by just looking at me or making some sort of sound and then when he laughed it would crack us up even more! I will miss him forever! -Marc Fink”
