He was predeceased by: his parents, McLaurin Sprouse and Laura Sprouse (Littlejohn); and his siblings, McAlvin, Warren, William Sprouse and Hazel Schultz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Tighe (Richard Jr) and Donna Secaur; his grandchildren, Richard III (Shannon Martin), Katelyn Tighe, Fallon and Felicia Secaur; and his great grandchild Luna Mari Tighe.
