He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe DeFrank and Maria DeFrank (Cocco); his wife Gloria; and his siblings, Stephen, Gene and Nancy Shaw.
He is survived by: his daughter Gina; his son-in-law Charles Abbott; his granddaughter Annemarie Abbott; his siblings, Dominic, Samuel, Lucy Connor, Carmella Sickler and Julia Hogan; and his sister-in-law Elvira Bowe (Dolly). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
