He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Galati and Josephine Galati (Policare); his wife Mary Ellen Galati (Jacko); and his siblings, Victoria Maio and Frank "Chick" Galati.

He is survived by: his daughter Patricia; his son-in-law David Erkoboni; his granddaughters, Dr. Danielle Erkoboni-Wilbur (Christopher Wilbur) and Lauren (Andrew Bigler); his great grandchildren, Addison, Violet, Cooper and Emerson; and his brother Anthony "Tony" Galati (Nancy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
