She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Blackmer and Ruth Blackmer; and her siblings, Richard Blackmer and Bonnie Blackmer. She is survived by: her husband Clark McAvoy; her sons, Gregory and Jeffrey McAvoy; her sister Barbara Smith; and her grandchildren, Jack McAvoy, Juliet and Fiona McAvoy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, or the Easel Animal Rescue League, Mercer County, New Jersey.
