It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Marjorie Burtis (Pennington, New Jersey), who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur W. Burtis, Sr.; her parents, Joseph H. Petty, Sr. and Evelyn E. A. Sanders Petty; her brother Joseph H. Petty, Jr. (Lillian); and her grandson Todd Philip Lewis of Pennington, NJ.
She is survived by: her children, Evelyn M., James L. Lewis of Cary, N. C., Arthur W. Burtis, Jr. and Jane Lois Curbishley Burtis of Langhorne, PA.; her sister Mary Alice Petty (late Ross K. Mason) of Toms River, NJ; her grandchildren, J. Scott Lewis (Johanna) of Florida, Alison Elizabeth Burtis, Marc Dolbier of Vermont and Erik William Burtis (Martha) of New Hampshire; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Angela Lewis, Benjamin, Sarah, Ryan Dolbier, Grayson, Gavin Lewis, Madigan and Graeme Burtis; her niece Janice Petty Vermeychuk (Dennis); her nephews, Joseph H. Petty III (Vivian), Kenneth Mason (Robyn), Dean Mason (Kim) and Tom Mason (Colleen); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kelly Mason Fields (Cody), Kara Mason, Dale Mason, Jamie Mason, Jenna LaVacca (Damien), Kevin Mason, Connor Mason, James Vermeychuk (Lauren) and Joseph Vermeychuk (Chelsea); and also, Allison, Haddie, Scarlett LaVacca and Wesley Fields.
