He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Taylor and Eva P. Taylor; and his brother Dorsey Edwards. He is survived by: his children, William Thomas of Paterson, NJ, Isiaah Taylor of Paterson, NJ, Hykeemy Taylor of Paterson, NJ and Tish Glover; his grandchildren, Za'ki Taylor, Nigel Taylor and Jaheim; his siblings, Minnie Morgan of Paterson, NJ, Helen Taylor McDougald (Billie) of Paterson, NJ, Vincent Taylor (Diane) of Tampa, FL, Lawrence Taylor of Paterson, NJ and James Taylor of Hampton, VA; his aunts, Mildred Pearson of Hackensack, NJ and Hazel Edwards of Paterson, NJ; and his uncle Gregory Edwards of Newton, NJ.. He is also survived by 4 stepchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
