She is survived by: her daughter Aisha "Holly" Wilson-Smith (Christopher) of Teaneck, NJ; her brother Aaron "Tojo" Wilson (Marlene) of Woodland Park, NJ; her stepmother Ruth Carter of Gray, GA; her nieces and nephews, Travoy Wilson (Jennifer) of Warner Robins, GA, Naeem Carter (Tina) of Haddock, GA, Miles Carter of Macon, GA, Emmiah Wilson of Woodland Park, NJ, Nyawi Barnes (Jarvis) of Fort Mitchell, AL, Crystal Stubbs of Gray, GA, Ashanti Wilson, Janquelle Melton of Woodland Park, NJ and Elizabeth Rozier of Reston, VA; her goddaughters, Janet Jones, Kia Lemon of Paterson, NJ, Sheena Freeland of Paterson, NJ and Delores Freeland of Paterson, NJ; her sister-in-law Ann Carter of Macon, GA; and her close friends, Mary Diggs Snead of Paterson, NJ, Delores Freeland of Paterson, NJ, Minnie Jackson of Bloomfield, NJ and Rene Wright of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by cousins, great nieces, great nephews.
She amassed a collection of well over 500 books which she often donated to local libraries and organizations.
