It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley E. Andrews (Paterson, New Jersey), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 21, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Felix Coles and Etta Coles (Coleman); her spouse James Carlson; her children, Susan Jacobsen (Lloyd) of McHenry, IL and James Carlson (Ila) of Stockton, IL; her stepchildren, Ronna Crowley of McHenry, IL, Mark Andrews (Suki) of Rockford, IL and Brian Andrews (Susan) of Rockford, IL; her grandchildren, Daniel Carlson (Patti), Jeffrey Carlson (Alisha) and Karen White (Jared); her stepgrandchildren, April Cheverette (Erik Byrne), Krissy Lehn (Tom), Meghan Henegar (Kevin), Derek Andrews and Michael Andrews (Chelsey); and her siblings, Bud Coles, Lois Messal, Marcella Matthes, Harriet Kluch and Bob Coles. She was also cherished by 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the United Methodist Church, in her memory.
