He is survived by: his wife Vernita Ogletree; his children, Sanford Ogletree Jr. and Shekina Chalmers-Zambrano; his grandson Wesley Zambrano; his son-in-law Christopher Zambrano; his siblings, Elaine Henderson of Paterson, Avery Byrd of Texas, Henry Clavon Byrd and Michael Ogletree of Paterson; his mother-in-law Nettie Chalmers; his siblings-in-law, Rosemary Griggs Ogletree, Ardena Byrd, Gloria Chalmers-Fleming, Karen Singh, Shelida Griffin, Kenneth Chalmers and James Chalmers Jr.; and his cousin Virginia Abrams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
