He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Mott and Gertrude Mott (Maragroff); his wife Doris B. Mott; his son Michael Mott; and his siblings, Geraline, Trudy, Gary and Ronald.

He is survived by: his children, Samuel Mott, Barbara Vetsas, John Mott, Janet Zukah, Kathleen Vasquez, Christopher Mott and Patrick Mott; and his brother William Mott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
