He is survived by: his siblings, Geraldine Danzy, Zelda Anthony, Gloria Shanks, Michael C. Hurst Sr. and David Nobling; his children, Michelle Phillips and Robert DeCree; and his stepdaughter Alicia Poole-Byrd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews.
