She was predeceased by: her father George James; her siblings, Dr. Edward A. James and Naomi Yapp; and her siblings-in-law, Alphonso Taylor, George Taylor, Cynthia Morris and Adelaide Fisher.

She is survived by: her husband Obed; her son Stephen; her brother Issac James; her siblings-in-law, Reynell Fisher, Egbert Morris, Kathleen James and Ruby Carnegie; and her daughter-in-law Kristen Taylor. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
