It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Baines (Paterson, New Jersey), who passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jimmy Redick and Eva Manor; her siblings, Lucille Dotson, Inez Person, Jessie Lee Manor, Blossie Morrow, Lawton Manor and Ralph Edwards; her husband Herman Baines; her children, Dr. Betty Veal and George Edwards of Kearney, NJ.; her grandsons, Michael Veal (Anita), Wayne Veal East Rutherford (Kim) and Derek Veal (Susan); her great grandchildren, Trenace Veal, Michael Veal Jr., Matthew Veal and Derek Veal (DC); her great great grandchildren, Aniyah Baptiste, Nina Veal, Elise Veal, Emily Veal and Gia Veal; her friend Bessie Morrison; and her godchild Tracey Martin.
