She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Lee and Willie Muriel Avery; and her sister Janice Avery. She is survived by: her sons, Timothy P. Capers Jr. of Paterson, NJ and William James Avery of Newport News, VA; her siblings, Michael Avery (Geraldine) of Wilkes Barre, PA and Jennifer Walker (Anthony) of Newport News, VA; her aunt Annie C. Paul of Detroit, MI; her uncle Timothy Walker (Mary) of Clarksdale, MS; her nieces and nephews, Anthony Avery, Antjuan Walker, Michael Avery Jr., Robert Avery Jr., Jason Cloud, Zakieya Latrice Avery and Aja Avery; her cousins, Hilda Avery Hall, Benita Avery Remy, Patricia Paul, Demetrius Paul and Mark Walker; and her close friends, Marcelle Littlejohn, Tanya Reams, Kimberly Weathersbee and Benjamin Moore. She is also survived by other cousins, relatives, friends.
