He is survived by: his wife Pinkey Davis; his children, Subrinia Carter (Eric), Charmaine Reed (Ike) and John Davis (Nurisha); his siblings, Bettie Davis of Hackensack, NJ, Gladys Reed, Delores Faraj of Paterson, NJ, Nancy Frierson (Anthony) of Stone Mountain, GA, Teresa Davis of Cherry Hill, NC, Stover Davis of Moonachie, NJ and Ronnie Davis of Clayton, NJ.; his grandchildren, Hakeem Davis, Sarina Bivens, Ja'sean Davis, Christopher Reed and Brook (Lynn Davis); and his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Davis and Raquel Bolden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
