He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim McLean and Lillian McLean; and his siblings, Betty Perry, Jim McLean and David McLean.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn C. McLean; his children, Tammy McLean (Larry), Verlene Hunt (Tavis) of Paterson and Quentin Byrd of Cocoa, FL.; his grandchildren, Quanessa, Shavisha, Aqiyla, Fantasia, Tavia, Makasha, Lenequea, Quentin Jr., Quanasia, Quentaviųs and Quandarles; his great grandchildren, Ariyonna, London and Adriana; his brother Lenno McLean (Margie); his siblings-in-law, Margie McLean, Jettie Mae Wilson, Bernice Barr, Mary Lee Mack, Lutrisha Wilson, Betty Brown, Charlene Wilson, Lynda Wilson, Theodore Wilson, Donnie Wilson and Bobbie Wilson (Connie); and also Wendy Jones. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
