He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Sansone and Joan Sansone (Bracco). He is survived by: his sister Joanne; his brother-in-law Dennis Verboys of Highland Mills, NY; his brother John; his sister-in-law Jennifer Sansone of Warwick, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Kathryn Verboys, Caroline, Michael Kelly, Nicholas Verboys, Matthew, Hannah and Brian Sansone.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bronx Zoo.
