Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Lassiter and Esther Odom; and his brothers, Hakeem Muhammad and Jerome Lassiter. He is survived by: his brothers, Timothy Lassiter of Kinston, NC and Charles Lassiter of Paterson, NJ; and his stepfather Andrew Hill of Pamplin Virginia. He is also survived by three aunts, four uncles, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
