He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sumter and Mary Lue Sumter Bradley; and his sister Loretta Bradley. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Sumter; his daughters, Shelia Sumter of Franklin Park and Stacie Hoffmeister (Sumter) of Scarsdale; his grandchildren, Myles Shaw, Ava Hoffmeister and Roman Hoffmeister; his siblings, Willie Bradley (Tracey) of Passaic, Barry Bradley (Dawn), Ella Tillie (Jimmie) of Norwalk and Joan Irving (Joseph) of Indianapolis; his brother-in-law Edgar Matthews of Martinez, Georgia.; his siblings, Thomas Sumter, Sr., Georgia Snowden (Sumter) and Virginia Bradley Matthews; and his cousin Leroy Sumter (Henry). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends.
