He was predeceased by: his brother Juan Miguel Ortiz. He is survived by: his children, Eridania Ortiz-Paramus, Josephine Ortiz-Garfield, Yalina Almeyda-Dom and Hector Jahel Ortiz-Paterson; and his siblings, Maria Margarita Martines-Paterson, Ruth Ortiz-Fl and Julio Antonio Ortiz.
