He was predeceased by: his father Simmie Dennis (Sonny); and his son Kareem Simmons. He is survived by: his brothers, Willie "Billy" Anderson and Tyrone "Tony" Dennis; his mother Ethel Mae Dennis; his children, Gary Dennis Jr., Jahreick Dennis, Miles James, Dyshi Dennis, Saeed Dennis, Monia Benjamin, Saliah Benjamin, Alexis Thomas, Shukey Williams, Nygia Dennis and Nyge Dennis; and his siblings, Brian "Nicky" Dennis (Janet) of Paterson, Velva Jean Dixon (Joe) of Jonesboro, GA, Deborah Savage (Warren) of Delaware and Denva Mallett (Eric) of Paterson. He is also survived by his mother, children and grandchildren.
