It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Mae Dennis of Paterson, New Jersey, born in Hawkinsville, Georgia, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Gary Dennis; her husband Simmie Dennis (Sonny); her sons, Willie "Billy" Anderson (Billy) and Tyrone "Tony" Dennis (Tony); and her siblings, Daisy Mae Dennis, Annie R Mathis, Susie Mae Harrell, Johnnie B. Mathis, Charles Mathis and Eddie Mathis.

She is survived by: her children, Velva Jean Dixon (Joe) of Jonesboro, GA and Brian "Nicky" Dennis (Janet) of Paterson, NJ; her stepdaughters, Deborah Savage (Warren) of Delaware and Denva Mallett (Eric) of Paterson; and her siblings, Zellia Mae McLeish, Louise Little (Charles), Mary Stewart (Jonathan) and Robert Mathis (Henrietta). She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
