He was predeceased by: his parents, Sol Alston and Rena Alston; his wife Dorothy Alston; and his siblings, Ellie Alston and Liz Lee.
He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Eaton; and his daughters, Vivian Foster (Eugene) of Paterson and Dorothy Thompson (Enman) of Willingboro, NJ.
