He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Carmichael and Mary Carmichael; and his wife Pearlie Mae Kiah. He is survived by: his daughter Linda Pittman; his grandchildren, Kenyatta, Lateefah and Kentrell; his great grandchildren, Nyasha, Jaden and Mackenzie; his close friend Macie Swindell; and his nephew Archie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
