She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Briggs, Jr. and Florine S. Hinton Briggs. She is survived by: her children, Troy L. Briggs (LaToya), LaTasha K. Briggs, Tymere Briggs-Perkins and Kedema O. Perkins (Morgan); her granddaughters, Naomi and Eva Perkins; her siblings, Treniece Briggs (Chickie) of Clifton, Wayne Briggs (Nonie) of Bergenfield, Valerie A. Briggs of Wayne, Jesse R. Briggs of Columbia, Steven L. Briggs, Sr. (Audrey) of St. Johns, Denise L. Briggs of Bergenfield and Dennis L. Briggs, Sr. (Almetra) of Frisco, Texas; her godchildren, Joshua Bridges, Deydrienne Briggs and Jesse Briggs (Byjah); her former husband Junior A. Perkins of Paterson; and also E. Bland. She is also survived by her children, siblings, cousins, and friends.
Marlene S. Briggs-Perkins, departed from this life on December 12, 2020 after a brief battle with the Corona virus (Covid-19).
