He is survived by: his children, Brendon Henri Holmes and Lamaya Janine Holmes; his grandson Messiah Julian Johnson; his siblings, Larry Lewis Gaines, Vanessa Holmes Gordon, Daphne Holmes and Edythe Walker; his nieces and nephews, Curtis Gaines, Gerald Gaines, Ellis Davis, Brent Gordon, Cynthia Edwards, Ellise LaMotte and Larrverene Gaines; and his great-nephews, Casseen Gaines, Jordan Edwards, Curtis Gaines III, Xzavier Gordon and Alexander Davis. He is also survived by cousins, cherished sisters and brothers in law, and many other close friends.
