It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Griffin (Passaic, New Jersey), who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mothers, Ruby Dell Griffin and Amanda Lee Griffin; her son Wallace Griffin; her grandparents, Robert Griffin and Bertha Edwards; her aunt Inez Skinner; her uncles, Wallace Griffin and Author Lankford; her siblings, Jacqueline Lawrence, Ruby Hines and Michael Hines; her nephew Antwajan Griffin; her stepmother Brenda Hines; and her extended family Deborah Johansky.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Griffin, Amanda Griffin of Williamspor, PA, Tammur Griffin of Columbia, SC and Sean Griffin of Las Vegas, NV; her siblings, Bertha Dye of Lodi, NJ, Robert Griffin, Wallace Griffin, Crashell Jackson of Elmwood Park, NJ, Antonio Hines of Passaic, NJ, Shawn Hines of Passaic, NJ, Jason Hines of Passaic, NJ, Eric Hines of Passaic, NJ, Lorraine Johansky of Norfolk, VA and Jennifer Johansky of Passaic, NJ; her grandchildren, Shamil Brown, Michael Brodie Jr. of Williamsport, PA, Naira Griffin of Passaic, NJ and Ebony Griffin of Columbia, SC; and her close friend Gary Cook. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carnie P. Bragg Funeral Home- Passaic (143 Myrtle Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
