It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chester Hinton Sr. (Passaic, New Jersey), who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Earp and Hamp Hinton; his aunt Annie; and his brothers, James, Wade and Nehemiah Hinton.

He is survived by: his close friend Theresa Watson; his sons, Clarence Brown of Raleigh and Chester Wadell Hinton Jr.; his brother Odell Hinton Sr. (Barbara); and his niece Sandy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
