He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopoldo Miele and Alessandrina Miele of Italy; his siblings, Marcellius (Phyllis Miele), Gaetano (Rose Miele), Luigi Miele (Louie), Elia (Samuel Preteroti), Luciano (Loiuse Miele), Gerardo (Vera Miele) and Michael (Anna Miele); and his parents-in-law, Ann Anderson, Daniel, Doreen Santaniello and Robert Hensey.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hensey Miele; his children, Dennis (Mary Miele), Louis (Tracey Miele), Diane Miele (Mary) of Parsippany, NJ and Frank Capella of Morristown, NJ.; his grandchildren, Alexandra Miele Nelson (Anders) of Durham, NC, Eric Miele of New Providence, NJ, David Miele of Portland, OR, Jessica Miele of Boston, MA, Mark Capella of Morristown, NJ and Teresa Capella of Morristown, NJ.; his parents-in-law, Pasquale, Jean Tortoriello, William, Rosie Hensey, Dominic, Catherine Ervelli, Joseph, Barry and Margaret Kiefer; and his close friend Robert Miller (Bobby).
