He was predeceased by: his wife Carolina Villafania Yap, MD; his parents, Estelito N. Yap and Salvacion Muñoz Yap; and his siblings, Rosalina Yap Marbella, Benilda Yap Murga, Ernesto M. Yap, MD, Honesto M. Yap and Jovencio M. Yap.
He is survived by: his children, Michael V. Yap (Judy) of Denville, NJ, Margaret Yap Curran, MD (Colin) and Christian V. Yap (Christine Cameron) of Bloomsbury, NJ; his sisters, Saleste Yap Velasco and Yolanda Yap Baldo, MD of Lakewood, CA; and his grandchildren, Angela, Caroline, Emma, Faith, Nolan and Mary.
