She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Hartel and Rosel Hartel; her spouse Vincent DeDea; her child Christine Scheer (Alan, John DeDea); and her grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Emily and George.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marianne's name to Villa Marie Claire Hospice, 12 West Saddle River Road, Saddle River, NJ 07458 and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
