He is survived by: his wife Gloria Rypkema (Heffernan); his children, Karen Salomia of Ramsey and Kurt Rypkema (Angela) of Glen Rock; his grandchildren, Siobhan Finnan (Travis), Erin McCloskey (Rory), Kurt Rypkema, Jr. (Christina), Krystina and Mykaela Rypkema; and his siblings, Bert Rypkema and Rene Lankering.
