He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna; his children, Jennifer Capano (Ken), Doug Scheuermann (Amanda), Staci Walby (Glenn), Ami Dow (Douglas) and Lori Muller; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Shannon, Travis, Robert, Alison, Riley, Evan and Peyton.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in John's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
