He was predeceased by: his father James Freeman; his siblings, James Jr., Clarence, Rosa Lee, Dorothy, Mabel, Fredrick, Lois, Margaret and Morris; and his children, Darlington Freman Jr. and Sharon Artis.
He is survived by: his children, James Freeman and Brandan Arms; his daughter-in-law Shanya Eskridge-Freeman; and his grandchildren, Ariana, Zoe (James), Sunniyah, Destiny, Mahaad and Cairo (Brandan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
