He was predeceased by: his spouse Niki Mihalitsianos Dimatos; and his sibling Spiridon Dimatos. He is survived by: his children, Asineth Dimatos (Jeffrey Schwartz), Stamatia Dimatos Schreck (Michael Schreck) and Victoria Dimatos Golemis (Van Golemis); and his siblings, Dennis Dimatos, Nikos Dimatos and Marina Skliris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
The family has designated The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America for memorial contributions , In lieu of flowers.
